Cailean is a PhD Researcher in Social Data Science at the University of Oxford and a Researcher at the Linux Foundation. His academic research concerns the political economy of OSS, including topics such as funding models, maintenance labour, and inter-company collaborations. At the Linux Foundation, Cailean contributes to diverse research projects and supports the LF Europe team with regional growth and outreach. Previously Cailean worked in technology policy at the UK Government’s Centre for Data Ethics & Innovation.
